Identity Verification & Review

Here's what you need to know about the identity verification process required for creator registration.

Why Is Identity Verification Required?

Identity verification is legally mandated for the following reasons:

  • Legal compliance: Laws regarding Video Transmission-Type Sex-Related Special Businesses require verification of content distributors' identities
  • Safety: To maintain a safe environment for all users
  • Fraud prevention: To prevent impersonation and other forms of fraud
Identity verification is only required for users registering as creators. It is not required for normal user activities such as browsing or purchasing content.

Identity Verification Flow

Verification consists of two steps.

Step 1: Profile

Enter the information that will be public as a creator.

  • Username (your public creator handle, 3–20 characters of lowercase letters, digits, and underscores; availability is checked in real time as you type)
  • Display name
  • Bio (visible to fans)
  • Creator activity description (used only for review by the operations team, not shown to general users)

Step 2: Identity Verification

Enter your identity information and ID documents together.

Personal Information

  • Full name (legal name)
  • Date of birth (must be 18 or older)
  • Country of residence (default: Japan)
  • Address
If the information you enter does not match your ID document, your application will be rejected. Please enter everything exactly as it appears on the document.
