Content Protection

Learn about how we handle unauthorized use of content and the rules for using content on SMFans.

Content Usage Rules​

The following rules apply to all content on SMFans:

  • Downloading content is prohibited
  • Saving or copying content is prohibited
  • Redistributing content (reposting on other sites or social media) is prohibited
  • Content may only be viewed in the browser
Violating these rules may result in account suspension and/or legal action.

Technical Content Protection​

SMFans content is protected by the following technical measures:

  • Short-lived signed URLs: Limited content (posts you've purchased or that are covered by your subscription) is delivered only via short-lived signed URLs (1 hour for images and thumbnails, 5 minutes for HLS video streaming). Even if you share a URL, it stops working after expiration.
  • Referer restriction (anti-hotlinking): Both public and limited content cannot be embedded from sites outside SMFans — requests with a Referer outside the SMFans domain are rejected.
  • HLS streaming: Videos are delivered as HLS (HTTP Live Streaming) split into many small segments, which makes them difficult to capture with simple download tools.

If You Find Unauthorized Redistribution​

For General Users​

If you find SMFans content being shared without permission on other sites or social media, please contact Support.

For Creators​

If your content is being used without permission, please report it to Support with the following information:

  1. The URL of the page where your content is being redistributed
  2. A screenshot (as evidence)
  3. A description of your original content that was copied
When taking screenshots as evidence, make sure the URL is visible in the screenshot. This helps us respond more quickly.

When SMFans receives a copyright infringement report, we take the following actions:

  1. Review the report (typically within 3-5 business days)
  2. Remove the infringing content
  3. If necessary, send a takedown request to the site hosting the redistributed content
  4. Take action against the violator's account (warning or account suspension)
Copyright infringement is prohibited by law. SMFans takes strict action to protect creators' rights.

Protecting Your Content​

Creators should keep the following in mind:

  • Regularly check whether your content is being redistributed without permission
  • If you discover unauthorized redistribution, report it to Support immediately
  • Save evidence (URLs and screenshots)
